Biography
Akkineni Nagarjuna was born on August 29, 1959 to Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Annapurna. Nagarjuna entered the film industry as a child artist through the film Sudingundalu in which ANR played the lead. His debut film as the lead actor was Vikram in the year 1986. Geetanjali and Shiva established him in the industry. He was portrayed in the devotional characters in the films Annamayya and Sri Ramadas which were huge hits. He married the actress Amala. He has two sons, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil.
Some of his hit films include Majnu, Shiva, Geetanjali, Ninne Pelladutha, Hello Brother, Nuvvu Vasthavani, Mass, Manmadhudu, Santosham etc. He also produced many films including Manmadhudu, Ninne Pelladutha, Sri Seetharamula Kalyanam Chutamu Rarandi, Aaha etc. He also acted in hindi films like Khuda Gawah, Angaray, Agni Varsha etc.
